Embarrass WI | I have a 2017 Ram with a V6, it replaced a similarly equipped 2013. Both have been trouble free, the '13 had 99K when I traded and the '17 has 84K now. I think it has plenty of power empty, and adequate for a light trailer. I have pulled a 2 box seed tender and a 16 foot dump trailer full of landfill material and it does OK but it wouldn't be my first choice for a lot of heavy towing. My Ram gets about 22 mpg in the summer and 19 mpg in the winter running around. Highest tankful ever was 23.9.
I know probably a dozen guys with Ram's with 5.7's and don't know anyone who has had problems. My next truck will have the 5.7 unless they'll sell me a 6.4. I think the internet may have overblown the issues with 5.7's.
My Ram is loaded and cherry, and I'll be trading as soon as I can order a 2022 model. | |
