Kansas | I have a 1997 international 9400 semi with an N14. The temperature gauge randomly goes up to 230 and then the motor shuts down.
Today hauled 80,000 load of hay 40 miles against the wind no problem. Shut it off and unloaded hay.
Went to leave empty and it got hot and shut down in less than a mile. Took about 5 tries before we could make it home.
Tomorrow’s load, we’ll take the heat gun.
Has a new radiator and thermostats. It started doing this before our radiator developed a hole.
It seems to be getting worse.
Fan comes on like it is supposed to.
My guess is a sending unit. Which one and where?
Open to all ideas.
