NW Indiana | Lets translate this to numbers we understand. The last wasde had brazil's production at 4.2 billion bushels. It is my understand 3/4 of that is the safrinha crop so we are talking a 3 billion bushel crop in trouble. They export about 1.5 billion of the total production which is what makes theirs import. So if the safrinha crop gets smacked to a 2 billion crop they would have to drop exports by 400-500 million. Yes it is important but lets not lose sight of the size vs the US crop. Argentina is nearly as important on the export market exporting 1.3 of a total production of 1.865. | |
