Subject: Brazil corn production

NW IA/ SW MN
The April USDA report has estimated Brazil’s production at 109 mmt of corn. I’ve been hearing a 95 mmt number talked about. I’m not sure if that’s total production or just the safrinha corn? My understanding is that the safrinha corn is normally planted early enough to catch beneficial rains in feb-March. This year the planting was delayed because the beans were planted late and then harvested late. Now they are entering into their normal dry season and the corn is in trouble. How bullish would it be if that number drops below 75 mmt?
