I would sure like to know where you guys buy all your chemicals so cheap. I have looked and priced all over and our local guys are almost always close to the same price of not cheaper.
If looking to buy even one month before you spray the chemical means you have waited too long to get the biggest savings. Start around Thanksgiving to the end of the year to purchase excess chemical from the prior year. Planning your spray program and requirements is critical really multiple years before you actually need to get it. We also have an independent agronomist not tied to one company to help keep us focused on varying modes of action.
The name of the game is logistics and it takes time to move chemical around the country. It isn't sitting at your local vendor. You have to go searching with the newer resources for it. We have one well known chemical company that offers full service that a lot of farmers use. What most don't know is they also have a separate wholesale company that sells to the large farmers and pulls the same chemical out of the same storage building at 60 percent roughly of what their will known name sells. Again it is logistics and acquiring it in the off season because it's got wait till spray season you aren't going to save that 40 percent.
Here is a regional hub plus there are more in the area that supply many of the various local chemical companies. Again it is just logistics to them. Some are accessed by FBN or other online chemical sources. None are the cheapest on everything either as each place is acquiring at various prices around the country.
