Northern Ohio | GMO’s have driven a wedge between consumers and farmers. Nothing has been developed that benefits the consumers. They don’t want them, and if given a choice choose not to buy them. They really have not helped small and average (average 25 years ago) size farms. They have allowed larger farmers to farm more acres, driving people off the farm, out of rural areas, and decimated small towns in the Midwest.
It doesn’t need to be this way. We could change it. Small towns where there is a lot of organic farms in the area are thriving. Cashton WI is a good example. | |
