I've never been involved in any kind of crop insurance fraud, and as I said I've paid in far more than I've collected.   So I should give up my safety net just because you don't like it?   There's probably some fraud in any program, but I don't see you complaining.  Did you get a CFAP  or PPP payment?



If you have paid in more than you ever received, then you really don't need insurance anyway. You will just have to scrape through a tough year. That also means the taxpayer threw away twice what you paid.

Back before crop insurance, people had animals to reduce the risk. If corn didn't set an ear, chop it or graze it or hay it. More diverse crops reduced the risk also. Now it's wall to wall corn and beans, put the risk on the taxpayer so the farmer can feel comfortable.
