Yep I mis spoke ---have cut out 1 link on a couple dozers BUT not on the 9020 yet--so will only cut 1 link out each side
Tried to cut 2 out on a dozer once---didn't work -should have measured better-bought new rails--sure rode better with new rails
Have put used pads on rails couple times before ---get the cutting torch hot AND 1" impac--buff all the paint off where pads mount--WORK

FWIW new rails sprockets and hardwear for the 9020B Case track hoe $4747 for both sides MUCH less than I anticipated (no rollers or front idlers)

Been looking at a different excavator (used) I'm a little price shocked BUT they are cuter than what we have :-)
