Nunn CO | Hello all,
I’ve got a grain conveyor to help feed a grain cleaner. Problem is the grain conveyor runs out about 30-35 degrees. It is all the conveyor can do to put 120 bushels an hour up there. Lower it down to 20° and it will spit out 3000 bushels an hour. So my first thought is to put a belt with a little more texture on it. Local belt shop has the examples I added below. Pretty cheap replacement. My belt now I s just about smooth. Edges were completely worn off by some chute the previous owner added and the center is a dime thickness at best. Will this added texture on a new belt help that much? I only need to get 200 bu/ he through it. Or do I need a different grain mover.
Edit: currently this makes a hell of a mess on top . The last foot where the belt goes from crescent moon shaped to flat to make it over the top roller it dribbles grain out the sides like crazy before making it to the down shoot. Would this help with that?
Thanks
