Subject: Irrigation generator sizing and new layout configuration

nc ks
I had a 20hp submersible pump for 350 gpm put in as a second well.

My current set up is a pto powered gear head on a 400 gpm well and a crank pulley driven hyd pump powering a T-L pivot.

My plan was to convert the T-L to electric motor (15hp) powered hyd pump (I have this motor and pump already), put a generator on the side of the engine crank driven, and then power both the motor for the pivot and the submersible. However, with the combined HP of the two motors at 35 hp, I am not sure the crank driven generator will be feasible.

I am thinking it might be cheaper and easier to leave the original set up alone and put a smaller stand alone engine driven generator on just the submersible.

How big of 3 ph 460v generator would I need to power the whole works and how big would I need to just power the 20 hp submersible?
