Place straw bales around them to keep the harsh wind at bay and cover the strawberries with loose straw. Lay some type of mesh on top to anchor the straw and my guess you will have live plants in the spring. Three years with the same strawberry plants in my raised beds and they are still good. They are just starting to blossom this week. smooth
