McCanna, ND | Air seeders are good in small grains, also good that they can hold much more seed then a planter. That’s about it. They cost some serious $$$ to rebuild, $20k in parts and another $20k in labor isn’t out of the question from what I’ve heard.
Have planted soybeans with several different spacings and air seeders, planters, and a air seeder I built using planter row units (7.5”,15” twin 30” and single 30”) this will be my first year with a twin row CCS planter which I think will be the ticket for how we farm.
