That the excuse live cattle dont break out to the upside is that the packing houses cant get labor because of covid still but yet the pork plants obviously dont have this same problem.
Burdick, I don't know but I'm wondering if it has to do with automation of plants. Where pork and chicken is very predictable carcass to deal with, until they get all beef carcasses the same I'd imagine it's still a lot of hand labor. The video's I've seen of robots processing hogs, you don't need very many real people. |
