se montana | While entering our second drought year in a row, I’ve been trying to sell my yearlings that normally go to grass. Traditionally, I sell them mid to late summer off of grass. Boy, what a year to try to move them early.
All in the past hour, I cancelled trucks destined for sale barn, and rejected a private treaty offer that I didn’t figure would pay the bills for a year.
Seems like every time I’ve sold in desperation, I’ve regretted it.
Well, there’s a little old grass to make it a few weeks and some slight chances of rain over the weekend. I guess I’ll prolong the anxiety a bit longer.
And yes, it might even get uglier
