A big factor with late or uneven emergence this year is the plants that emerged on time sat still for three weeks with no grow and then got froze off. Now the late emerging plants have now caught them. I have several fields like this that were planted April 3, 5 and 6.
As of today one can view the stand and can’t tell what plants were late. Final stands are 32 - 34 K and look surprisingly uniform in height.
