western iowa,by Denison | the $300 box beef price is a combination of several cuts-hides-and the offaul is not in the box price or it might be-I'm not sure-They are buying dressed cattle at $191-and retailing it at $300-if you did all the math-no matter where you think it is it's a windfall for the 4 slaughter plants
the whole problem to begin with is no prices are reported on formula or cattle just like you sell tex-hard to even get a fair playing field when every price is a secret-such as your cattle
then add in the meat brought in but using product of the usa for labeling-while no one in the imports paid 1cent for advertising off the backs of the usa producers.
