Your salesman must have been high as a kite. I priced one at the dealer and it was around $600 programmed. I got mine for about $130 online and then had to pay the dealer around $150 to program it. I checked with a locksmith and they said Toyota is one of the few they cannot program. I am a big fan of Toyota but this sort of thing does tick me off.
