Ahhh...  You got me...  lol, Yes that's me.  My brother had that bunch of radio stuff up in his room and it was a magnet for the likes of me.  The lightning strike that day was incredible!  Ball lightning - they call it.  I've seen it twice since then.

I was about 11 or so, laying on my belly in the living room one evening, watching TV and a blue-white ball of buzzing electricity hopped out of the gas range out in the kitchen, bounced across the floor into the living room and it went right behind Dad's recliner.  He was reclined and it went right under his shoulders!  It hit the telephone and blew little pieces of black plastic all over us.  It melted the phone service outside on the side of the house.
