Easier said than done but you can’t stress about the potential flip side. Yea it might rain but what if it doesn’t? Even if it does, will it be enough to bring on enough feed?

I read on here more than once you can’t feed yourself out of a drought and after trying that myself the last two years I agree. We cut cow numbers by about 20% this spring...wish I would have been proactive and done it two years ago.

Breaking even buying feed and adding a full time job while betting on a rain is like buying a bicycle to ride to a roulette table and putting it all on red.

BTW, I don’t take it as a pity party..lots of very tough decisions being made right now every where. Good luck.
