nw NC		There used to be a site, Altitude.nu that would give altitudes as seen in my picture below. Sadly the site is no longer available.
This site, https://www.daftlogic.com/sandbox-google-maps-find-altitude.htm , works like the site you mentioned, just does not have topo contour color coded.

Incidentally, the elevation spread in my picture is 106 feet in 1000 feet in distance. A pretty good hillside to have to farm on.
