Here in NC, I was told by the guy working at the scrap yard, his company would buy wire that had been an accidental fire. But it was against the law to buy the insulation off of it so they couldn’t do it if it was intentional.
They had two or three burn barrels around the yard with lots of insulated wire setting around.
I guess you have to just answer the questions correctly!!
