I don't recall any push back for the others like smallpox and MMR vaccinations.



There is an easy explanation for that.


Yeah, I would have been in the first grade or thereabouts when I got my smallpox vaccination. Me and all my friends from that era have the little round scar on the shoulder.
Those inoculations were a part of life in the 1950s. Of course, us kids hated getting it, but our parents were happy to have us protected.
