NW KS | For occasional repair work on something that is already wired a set of open barrel crimpers and a set of weather pack crimpers go a long ways. Many types of connectors can be brought with an open barrel pin. Getting the connection crimped is kind of slow through. The weather pack crimper are used when the connector has the rubber seal crimper with the connecter(weather pack, metri pack, amp super seal, ect). These two crimpers give you a lot of flexibility for connector type without a lot of cost.
My preferred connector would be a deutsch style with solid. The solid pin is very easy to crimp and assemble into the connector. | |
