"During photosynthesis plants convert solar energy into chemical energy, cleaning the oxygen we breathe. Plants clean the air."
The last sentence is true. Have we dumbed down our society to the point that a self-proclaimed environmental activist corporation is running a commercial telling people that photosynthesis "cleans" the oxygen we breathe?
It struck a nerve with me. Science matters. Photosynthesis is a chemical reaction where solar energy uses carbon dioxide and water and CONVERTS them to oxygen. THAT is science. Is carbon dioxide now two words that cause snowflakes to melt and truth is "just too hard to handle"? | |
