Just to add to the confusion, Michigan has the highest increase in Covid, of any State in the USA, yet they are over 68% vaccinated, and have some of the tightest Covid restrictions in the Country.

Other States that are more open, have less problems, a few have more, and then you have SD which never really shut down at all, didn't cancel Sturgis last year, and they are at worst middle of the pack.


I'm beginning to think it has more to do with demographics, than people are willing to admit. At the risk of sounding racist, I think that there are certain ethnicities that are more susceptible than others.
We KNOW certain things like blood type, body type, and especially things like obesity and diabetes play a big part in how your body deals with covid (in general, as there are always exceptions to every rule). It almost seems that certain ethnicities are hit harder, as well.
