Lac qui Parle County Minnesota
I never thought I would. And it always bothered my wife to think I would be with another woman. But life doesn’t always go as expected. Lost her to pancreatic cancer 4 years ago after a short 10 month battle. She did tell me in the final months that it was unfair for her to expect me to be alone for the rest of my life. I was 52, and my boys were 17 and 13. After a couple of years,a good friend of mine asked me if I thought about dating. Up until then I really hadn’t. Started the dating game again after 31 years and it wasn’t easy. Met a very nice teacher from Ames IA and the rest is history. Dated for a year and a half and almost been married for a year. I never thought I would remarry but like mentioned above, it was lonely. If you went out with friends I was always feeling like the odd man out with no spouse. It’s been very nice to be able to do things with a companion again.
