Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I don't have much experience with them but as others have said with auto swath off, the clutches should receive no power while going across the field. In other words they should continue to plant.
If they stop at times then the internal spring that should wrap around the shaft must be slipping. Possibly it is somewhat damaged and is able to "grab" the shaft at times but slip other times. The idea is that this spring is wound in the direction so that turning the input shaft should cause it to wrap tightly around the output shaft. When it is desirable to stop planting, electricity moves a tab which causes the spring to "unwind" and allow the shaft to slip.
Possibly there is a problem with the clutch. Maybe the row unit is turning extremely hard. |
