I was trying to take a transaxle out of one with a bad engine and put it one with a good engine that a tree fell on and broke the transaxle. Needless to say it was a horrible idea and I’m extremely frustrated as it didn’t go as planned.
I like the 400 series but I’m leaning diesel.
I’m really interested in a GX355 that has the 3 cylinder 18hp liquid cooled yanmar in it. I know that when one shows up for sale it’s usually sold fairly quick.
The stx’s were great machines in their day but sadly the transaxle has sent many to the graveyard.
