Subject: ks-notill brought out below

Pittsburg, Kansas

ks-notill made the point below the 450,000 excess deaths amounts to about 1/10 of one percent of the population.

https://www.census.gov/popclock/

US population 330,226,464 with 450,000 increased deaths over trend. .00136 or a little over a tenth of one percent.

450,000 sounds like a lot of deaths, but there are a lot of people living in the US. They are all going to die at some point. Covid 19 just moved ahead some of the deaths by some period of time. I'm sure it mattered greatly to most of the 450,000 and their families, but we still have to keep the numbers in context and think about the situation logically instead of emotionally.

The real question that needs to be answered is if all the measures taken 1. were effective, 2. what were the cost of the measures not only in terms of money but also affect on lives of the non vulnerable and 3. based on 1 and 2 do we do this again in the future when another similar situation arises.
