in reply; just read a " letter-to-the editor" in Epoch Times by a retired doctor who had heart & high blood pressure issues; went a a low-salt diet: max 700 mg/ day; great health benefits; lost weight, no meds... excercises routinely: claims to look 15 years younger.
As I write this , I have cleaned out most of my canned goods: giving them to another. I am certain over-dose of routine salt is a culprit. Just read that breadstiffs are the largest source of salt in the American diet. I am way over-weight; hoping some of these dietary changes will help. I was shocked at how much salt is in mushroom soup; guess if I want it in the future I will need to construct it from raw mushrooms. Cheese also, is a hidden source of salt.
Good grief! Seems like I can find some clinician or doctor to find fault with every single thing I want to eat except air & water......on second thought......
