Pilot Grove, Missouri | Biggest single leap I saw in technology swaps by customers so far in my career was in Mexico City. I spent 8 months there as field engineering working for AT&T Network Systems. We were replacing 1920's mechanical panel switches for Telmex with 5ESS. This was in 1992 & 1993.
Another interesting note - when I moved back to the farm in 2015, I managed to get my original family phone number even though my mom had passed away 6 years earlier. What's cool about it is the last 4 digits match the first four letters of our family last name. I'm sure it got assigned that way back when my grandparents first got a phone. | |
