Cedar Rapids, Iowa | We ran a 2wd backhoe for the last 20 years and got along fine. They're a bit cheaper to buy because everyone wants 4wd. 90% of the weight is on the rear axle anyway. If it ever got stuck, you could use the hoe to push/pull yourself out. If it was muddy enough that you needed 4wd, you probably should have a track machine anyway.
Add to the list of desired options: 4-in-one bucket on the front. That is incredibly handy for picking up trees and stuff. | |
