Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Basically that's where I'm at. That situation only pertains to my planter tractor and the planter so I just use the converted plug. I don't remember if it has the resistor to act as a terminator or not.
Is there any way that the lack of a terminator there could affect my steering? I have Steer Command and it often refuses to acknowledge the presence of the ECU. This is on a Deere 8310R using an InCommand 1200, Steer Command through the Deere CAN. It works very well but some days it won't recognize the ECU until I pull the fuse on the Pink wires, wait and reinstall the fuse. I think the Steering is done through the ethernet cable and the lack of a terminator on the legacy CAN bus should make any difference.
I'm going to check the terminator/cap as it is laying the cab right now since we are going to connect the planter today.
