Kitchen cabinets are oak. Nothing is over the top or exclusive suburb type. That price was only for the first floor as I understand it. Basement won't be done at that price. I have a decent house, just outgrowing it with kids. I can wait at that price. Needless to say we are glad to have several others we are in contact with.
You're right that a 3 stall vs 2 stall isn't a big deal, but $10k here, $10k there and it adds up.
10 decisions that each add $10k and you add another $100,000 to the house which is $50/ft on a 2000ft house. It can snowball fast.
I'd agree that is pretty high priced without finishing the basement, I'd probably wait a little bit if you can.
