West of Lincoln a little bit | I see ads for the COINBASE app all the time, it says it will pay you in crypto to learn about it. interesting concept (I'm sure it's teeny small payments).
But Dogecoin freaks me out. It was started as a joke, but more importantly it has unlimited supply options. At least bitcoin has a cap so you can sort of define it's value. How you define doge when you can have an unlimited amount? Some would argue that's also true of the USD, but at least the USD is backed by our gov't (for whatever that's worth). Benefit to Doge is how small the cost is, so you're not gambling much. I don't know much about crypto either, but there are transaction fees that seem high on some platforms. |
