Central SD | I think the packers have it figured out how to entice feeders to place cattle then dangle just enough carrot to feed them to huge weights. All the while they regulate the kill numbers to keep supplies plentiful. They are masters at what they do. They make 300 to 600 dollars per head while us dips that own the cows and feedlots hope the govt can give us enough to keep us in business one more turn. I am telling my kids to get as much education as you can afford as cows won’t be viable down the road. | |
