There have been discussions on tinnitus before here on AgTalk. I have not had the problem so it was not an item of interest to me at the time. I just ran across this interview where Ivor Cummins interviews a surgeon that specialized in the inner ear. They discuss how he put himself out of surgery business by curing his patients without surgery. If a person has tinnitus this interview might be of interest.
