As others said, the far west is always red, and they don’t get much rain anyhow, it’s either irrigation or small low spots being cultivated. So really not such a big effect on food supply? My comments probably dont sit well with the ranchers, and I understand that......

From the states touching the Mississippi and East, it seems more folk talk about it being too wet than too dry? The map doesn’t show that, but watching radar and listening here, seems a fair amount of precip in general.

In my back yard being a little dry in April is a good thing, so we are in a nice period here. A little sticky and certainly cool, but way way ahead of the previous 5 years.
