It does and it doesn’t, It just takes good accountanting skills and the ability to keep everything straight because your cost basis changes when you day trade and have both loses and profits in a certain security, and when your tax year ends. As long as you have no long position on a certain stock that you show a net lost on at year end it will be OK.
