Knowing what and who to believe is difficult.
Admitting we have been wrong for most of a lifetime almost impossible. That's a thoughtful post! They ought'a engrave those words in stone and put 'em in every town because they apply to most of anything we encounter in life. Like the 7 basic food groups and the textbooks that instructed us as kids that we need to trim our toenails straight across instead of curved. And when you go from one church to another... every preacher has a different set of rules and conditions so who you gonna' believe - since they're the "official" voices of authority. Like my bro-in-law told me, "I was wrong once... thought I'd made a mistake. Turns out that I was actually right." LOL |
