Never peeled or sliced them here. LoL
Having said that American pickles tend to be much larger than what was common here a few years back, typical pickling duke he would be about thumb diameter and 2-2.5” long... that’s all gone by the wayside now as our local canners have closed and pickles in the store mostly come from US or India. Always found the smaller ones to be tastier and crisper than US style pickles.
