Thank you all for the responses, I appreciate it and you have given me lots to think about and explore. The excavator with seems like the preferred option for most and it makes sense why. My brother and I both agreed that while an excavator would be nice, a payloader might have more uses around the dairy and take some hours off our ag loader tractor. While not the ideal would a pay loader be sufficient for cleaning up rock piles or would we be disappointed?
