Do you have the discipline to stay hedged and keep paying margin calls in your own account? I have a feeling the “cool kids” captured the 20+ cents carry at one time and left the other $1.50 on the table. A person I respect sold some July $4.00 calls against stored corn early last fall, I thought when I sold some July $4.80 calls at the same money he sold $4.00 strikes it was an opportunity, well I’m still short them and have never had an opportunity to cover them for what I sold them for. Straight up trending markets can be tough to stay hedged in when your the one sending margin money. The”cool kids” will let you know about the winners and how easy it is.
