Northeast Missouri
Complicated answer...

I've run the disk on a Case 2290 with a cobbled-together set of pins (was anxious to use the disk, and ground conditions were right!). But with only 1,000 lbs of front weights on the tractor, and the 1,400 lbs of free weights removed from the disk, when the disk is raised in the air, shifting the power shift still jumps the tractor's front tires off of the ground.

And turning on the end rows always involves both brakes: one to start turning, and the other to stop turning!! I had to *back* up the gravel road to climb a slight bluff rise in it. Otherwise the tractor's front end would have been off the ground the entire time, with some weight on the disk's gauge/press wheels. (This is NOT an exaggeration.)

...as I said, I was anxious to try the thing in the field, even if not fully weighted.

Within 10 days I should be taking delivery of a NH 8670 set up in the European style, with "hook" lower links meant to latch onto balls. That's what I'm trying to get set up for.
