I think it helps to remember too that they have a boss that is demanding they "stay in touch" and make those calls.
Correct, I would guess most have to send in a weekly call report of people they have touched base with. If they don't pick up on your cues that your're busy and cut the call short, they probably haven't been in sales long or are a poor salesman. |
