| My father started out with his father in early 60's with a John Deere 45-I think. Then went to an E3, K2, F2, F3 being his last combine.
Made a living on about 300 acres of row crops and pigs. The Gleaners where easy to work on if needed. Two corn head then a 4 row. 10' platform then a 13'.
I'd guess there was as many Gleaners as John Deere around here.
That was enough machine to do the job at the time. Then I came along and got a L2, L3, CaseIH 1640, 2366, and now a 7120. Plus more acres. | |
