Nothing stopping the 60-70 hour work week factory worker from starting their own sideline business (or farm) and leveraging depreciation and tax schedules?

Also, keep in mind that there are some companies that are trying to hit certain diversity metrics with their hiring policies. That can be a contentious issue to some line workers regardless of ethnicity, experience, and sex.
