Subject: RE: New ford vehicle- Tire air pressure

1 hour east of ol cheyenne
Have put clampon chuck on really nasty tires before for kicks with 100' of hose and 165 psi compressor close quonset doors with the crappy tire 100' away and turn the valve on ( it is inside the shop) it is amazing how crappy a tire has to be to blow with 150 psi in it ( like tread separating bulged sidewalls etc). When / if they do it makes one helluva dust cloud. I would never do it without 100' of hose and the clamp on air chuck and the doors closed all but a small crack to watch it AND a way to release the air pressure from inside the shop without getting near the tire / rim assembly when over inflated. One of my " hold my beer and watch this redneck moments" Try only at your own risk with proper safety measures. Some valve stems will blow out of the rim at about 110 psi and launch the air hose about 25' in the air!!
That being said those 85 psi inflated car tires could separate at ANY time after that I would highly reccomend replacing them.
