Frisco, TX | I'll add this from my 40+ year career in banking. I never use my debit card, only a credit card, in three situations. Online purchases. Where the card leaves my hands like in a restaurant. Or in any non-major oil company/convenience store location either at the pump or inside at a terminal at checkout. These three situations account for a big share of the fraud involving cards. My industry experience is that you can unravel and be reimbursed for unauthorized transactions easier and faster involving a credit card than a debit card. | |
