I would advise against it. There have been too many non-profits in my area (including my own parish) which have had a Miss-Help-Herself (or Himself) abuse a credit card or the finances of the non-profit. The reimbursement system works just fine in our parish. Everyone who makes a purchase can be reimbursed provided they produce a receipt. No receipt? Lost the receipt? So sad, too bad.
That said, if you do make the decision to get one, make sure that the only purchases that are allowed are items in the budget. And that every receipt tracks to an item listed on the credit card statement. Every single transaction and the supporting paperwork should be available for anyone on your finance council to examine. Transparency is of the utmost importance. Trust but verify.
